There were quite a few deleted Scenes from the film.  Some scenes only made it to the script, some made it to storyboards, and some actually got filmed but were never used.  On this page you will find most of the deleted scenes that we were able to dig up. Sadly these were to have been lost, never to be seen again but this page offers a glimpse on what scenes could have been.  Click on the picture links to view deleted and extended scene info.

Scene Title Description Preview: Face Painting Aunt Em Tries to soothe Dorothy by painting her face. Billina Loose in the Kitchen Before Dorothy sees if Billina has laid any Eggs, she flies wild through the kitchen! Newspaper Clipping Scene where a newspaper clipping is visible, talking about when  Dorothy had gone missing in the Tornado You must be Dottie In this scene Dr Worley introduces himself and mistakenly calls Dorothy Dottie. Extended Gump in Flight Extended scene in which Dorothy and gang have to fly over the wall to the Emerald City. The Nome King doesn't like Chickens Scene that explains why and when they put Billina in Jack head when they reach Nome King's Mountain. Mombi's Tunnel Finally the answer to how Mombi got across the Deadly Dessert! Limestone Pies In this scene Dorothy actually feeds Billina a piece of Limestone Pie! Ruby Belt The Ruby Slippers in the early draft had a neat twist, they were made into a Ruby Belt! Discovering the Ruby Slippers This is an extended scene in which Dorothy re-discovers her Ruby Slippers.   Extended Coronation Scene Just a little extra added to the finale scene, including the missing part of Dorothy crowning the Scarecrow. Dorothy's Rescue Deleted Scene in which a Police officer stops and asks about the "other one" meaning Ozma.
