| Where is this Scene at?
Description: A man, 45, is sitting on a chair placed in the center of one of the unfinished rooms. This is Uncle Henry. One leg, under blankets, is propped up on a saw horse. All of his life he had been a proud farmer, but, now hasn't much to show for it. He seals a cigarette with his tongue and lights it. His face is lined and lean; his eyes are hunted. He peels the silver-paper star from the tobacco pouch. There is an upright two by four at his shoulder. He pulls a small nail from his shirt pocket and tacks the silver star with his thumb to the wood. It joins many such stars which become increasingly faded and dog-eared. We follow them up to the two-by-four until reaching... |
