Newspaper Clipping

Where is this Scene at?

In the begining of the film right after Dorothy says
"Did you lay an egg this morning Billina?  Lets go see."  And instead of going into the barn right away she walks past Uncle Henry and says "Good Morning Uncle Henry."

Description:

A man, 45, is sitting on a chair placed in the center of one of the unfinished rooms.  This is Uncle Henry.  One leg, under blankets, is propped up on a saw horse.  All of his life he had been a proud farmer, but, now hasn't much to show for it.   He seals a cigarette with his tongue and lights it.  His face is lined and lean; his eyes are hunted.

He peels the silver-paper star from the tobacco pouch.  There is an upright two by four at his shoulder.  He pulls a small nail from his shirt pocket and tacks the silver star with his thumb to the wood.  It joins many such stars which become increasingly faded and dog-eared.  We follow them up to the two-by-four until reaching...

A weathered newspaper clipping, also tacked to the wood.  The winds pulls at it.

GIRL SURVIVES TORNADO

Dorothy Gale, age 8, niece of Emily and Henry Blue

Greenwood Falls April 9, 1899

Dorothy was in the family house when the last week's twister carried it away.  She was found yesterday with her dog, Toto, in a field near Blue farm.  The small girl was apparently in good health, although somewhat dazed.

(Fade-out)

Next Scene is Dorothy in the Barn looking for eggs.
