The Ruby Belt

Where is this scene at?

After Tik-Tok goes in to guess.  When the Nome King asks Dorothy why she came to his mountain.

DOROTHY is alone with the NOME KING. 

He is now virtually a complete human form.  He sips melted silver and looks at her, musingly.

Nome King: Why did you come here?

Dorothy: I told you why....

Nome King: You came all this way for them?

He searches her with his eyes, his fingers playing across the belt of rubies around his middle.

Nome King: A scarecrow?... A tin man?... And a cowardly lion?

She nods: yes.

Nome King: You didn't come back for these?

He indicates his ruby belt.

Dorothy: ...?...

Nome King: They made it possible for me to conquer the Emerald City.

He shows off the red gems.

Nome King: You don't recognize these rubies?  Slightly rearranged now, but still very powerful.

Dorothy has a sinking feeling.

Nome King: They just fell out of the sky one day... You were so anxious to get home.

Dorothy: My ruby slippers!

Nome King: No, no, no, not at all.  My ruby slippers.

Like in the final cut, DOROTHY then decides to go in and guess instead of being sent home to Kansas by the NOME KING.

Death of the Nome King:

THE KING IS TURNING TO DUST!

The dreaded poison of the egg continues its course.  DOROTHY reaches for the belt, and sees the startled face of the KING staring up at her from what remains of his body.

Nome King: ..f.u.m.e.s...a.n.d...f.u.r.n.a.c.e.sss

She takes the belt.

THE BELT BECOMES BRILLIANT LIGHT!  SHE CANNOT SEE HER HANDS! 
SHE TURNS HER EYES AWAY!
THE LIGHT DIMS!
SHE LOOKS BACK!

                                    THE RUBY SLIPPERS...

- are in her hands.

The rest of the scene is the same with the ceiling falling and DOROTHY wishing for everyone's safety.
