Origin 

Was just a normal Gump in the Land of Oz, and had a normal death, until Dorothy Brought him back to life.

Back Story

     A Gump is a rare creature in the Land of Oz.  They look almost like a moose only they have a green coat and smaller antlers.  But the Gump in our story is much different than these creatures. 

    The Gump was created to escape from Mombi’s palace to refuge at the Nome King’s Mountain.  It all started when the last of these moose-like creatures was killed and mantled in the Emerald City.  It stayed in the palace for years and years and was almost forgotten about.  Until Dorothy Gale came and brought it back to life. 

     She did so by tying an antique sofa and loveseat together with twine.  She then added palm leaves for wings and a broom for a tail.  And finally she tied the mantled head of a Gump to the front.  She then brought him to life with “Powder of Life” she got from a witch named Mombi. 

     He had no memory of the events that had happened to him since his death.  He was in the forest one day, heard a loud noise, and that was all he remembered.. 

     Until he heard Dorothy say the magic words to bring him to life... Weaugh.. Teaugh.. Peaugh... “Peaugh?”  The Gump replied.  And that was his  first word as a flying Sofa.  And in that moment his new life started as well as many  adventures with Dorothy began.

 Where are they now?

He was later completely disassembled.   And at his own request, remained only a head after their adventure.  He now hangs on the wall in the Emerald City, and sometimes makes noises to startle passers by.
