Dorothy Gale finds herself in the marvelous, magical land of Oz.  But when she reaches her beloved Emerald City, she's in for a shock.  Instead of the jeweled towers and bustling streets she remembers, Dorothy discovers a ruined city full of strange statues - statues which she soon realizes are people of Oz, her friends, turned to stone!  Oz has been conquered by the wicked Nome King!

Dorothy knows that her friends and the Emerald City must be saved from the evil Nome King, the cruel Princess Mombi and the terrifying squealing Wheelers.  So, with some strange companions, Tik-Tok, Jack Pumpkinhead and a talking hen, Billina, she sets off on frightening, mysterious and exciting adventure!
