This
probably the holy grail of all Return to Oz Props. The
famous Oz Key. Most of us were fascinated by this key as
children, almost as much as Dorothy was. I am proud to
say a few of the Keys survived! There were quite a few
made for the film. Such as; very black and dirty in
Kansas, halfway tarnished in the ruined Emerald City,
and fully shiny with emeralds at the end of the film
worn by Billina. Many were made in production, and many
made it to the screen. This one in particular was from
the ruined Emerald City scene when Dorothy finds
Tik-Tok. The key itself is made from a heavy metal and
is quite good quality for being a movie prop. These were
a few later cast in the same mold to give to senior crew
members such as directors, producers, etc. |
